In order to cooperate with the government's implementation of primary school English teaching policies and respond to the public's call to cultivate excellent primary school English teachers, our school (formerly National Taipei Normal University) was approved by the Ministry of Education in the 87 academic year to take the lead in establishing the "Children English Education Research Institute".         The following year (the 89 academic year), in order to build a high-quality and stable teacher training force, the "Department of Children English Education" was approved to be established, becoming the first domestic school dedicated to cultivating "children English teaching professionals" and "children English academic research talents" . Since then, teachers and students in this department have been committed to teaching and researching English in Taiwan, and continue to provide professional consulting and services to government agencies and school agencies.

        Subsequently, in August 2005, in line with the school's renaming as "National Taipei University of Education" and the policy of unifying departments, the original "Children English Education Research Institute" was renamed "Children English Education Department Master's Program". Later, in response to the expansion of the research topics of our teachers and students, the "Master's Program of the Department of Children English Education" was renamed "The Master's Class of English Education, Department of Children English Education" in the 98 academic year to be in line with the academic research development of the department. the current situation.

        In addition, in order to cooperate with the Ministry of Education in the return education of in-service teachers, the department has opened summer master's classes from the 89-93 academic year to recruit current elementary school and kindergarten teachers and provide relevant professional courses with a view to improving their teaching functions and stimulating their research potential. Subsequently, considering the length of study and the demand for class time for in-service teachers, the summer master's class was renamed "Master's Degree Class in English Teaching of the Department of Children English Education (Night Class)" in the 94 academic year. Classes were adjusted to be held at night and on Saturdays, and the enrollment target was still on-job primary school and kindergarten teachers. In addition, in order to provide opportunities for those who work in private or government agencies to further their studies, the Department has specially added the "In-Service Master of English Education Class (Night Class) of the Department of Children English Education" in the 98 academic year to recruit working people from the society and provide high-quality courses to enhance their teaching and research capabilities.
